Cherry Blossom Festival

This week end is the beginning of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Peak bloom is expected April 4th although there are certainly trees out there who didn’t get the word and are in full bloom now! April 4th watch the parade along Constitution Avenue which starts at 10. Following that is the Japanese street fair along Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues – arts, crafts, food, music, dance and martial arts. April 11th – fireworks over the southwest waterfront.
