"A Delicate Balance" at Arena Stage

Despite being nearly 3 hours long, “A Delicate Balance” at Arena Stage is pretty riveting. The acting is superb. The family consists of husband and wife who are very witty with one another, a sister who’s a drunk and has a great turn with a phrase and a daughter coming home from her fourth failed marriage. Old friends drop in and prepare to stay – forever. That causes just a bit more friction and more witty dialogue. Great set and costumes. Arena is temporarily in Crystal City underneath the Marriott in the old movie theater. Parking is free and plentiful – a real bonus – or a two black walk from Metro.
