Peking Duck

Craving Peking Duck, I went on line and put in “Peking Duck Northern Virginia”. Up popped Peking Gourmet and Duck Chang’s restaurants. Having been to Peking Gourmet many times, four of us decided to try Duck Chang’s this week end. Got a coupon on line for pork fried rice and that was the best part of the meal! At Peking Gourmet, the duck is carved with great flourish in front of you. Not so at Duck Chang’s where duck parts arrive on a platter accompanied by tough pancakes and stringy scallions. Then yesterday morning, the Post had a recipe for Peking Duck that involves hanging the bird out to dry overnight. Conclusion: Peking Gourmet!!
